REOPEN THE INVESTIGATION INTO MICHAEL LEWIS
To: Niagara Regional Police Service

We are calling for the immediate review and reactivation of the missing-person investigation into Michael Lewis, who has not been seen or heard from by his family since October 2025.
This is not about blame.
This is about certainty.
This is about a human being.
A Father.A Brother. A Son. A Friend.A Real Person.
Michael Lewis is not a file number.
He is a father. A brother. A son. A Friend. A person whose absence has left a permanent silence in his family’s life.
According to family statements:
- The last confirmed contact with Michael was October 13, 2025.
- Police reportedly stated he was last seen on October 17, 2025 at Victoria Avenue & Jepson Street in Niagara Falls.
- Family reports hospital communications indicate an ICU admission from October 17–21.
- However Conflicting explanations were given regarding his discharge.
- A photograph was shown to the family said to be Michael — the family disputes the identification.
- The hospital did not provide any solid proof of Michaels attendance-ie the requested video footage
- Multiple reports have come in about possible foul play and serious injury around the same time frame in question
- The case has reportedly been closed — yet the family has never seen or spoken to Michael since October 2025.
There has been:
- No confirmed phone activity.
- No confirmed bank activity.
- No contact with any family or friends.
- No direct verification of his safety.
This is completely out of character for Michael whom had just spoken to his mother on October 13th, recognizing she was worried for him and using his words to comfort her. Knowing she has been worried- the family truly believes that it is far fetched to think - that Michael would choose now ....to abandon contact with every single person he knows- and without reason.
For a family, that silence is unbearable.
Why This Cannot End Here
When timelines contain discrepancies…
When identification is disputed…
When hospitalization officials are reportedly reluctant to share information or change their stories…
When multiple, ongoing reports of foul play are being reported
When a case is closed without family confirmation of wellbeing…
That is not closure.
That is uncertainty.
And uncertainty, in a missing-person case, is not enough.
----What We Are Asking----
We respectfully and urgently call upon Niagara Regional Police to:
- Conduct a formal, transparent review of the case timeline.
- Clarify whether all reported medical information was incorporated into the investigation. After doing so probide the family with the documentation to prove the facts on Michaels claimed ER visit. Ie Did Michael arrive alert an present-following up on seizures he was experiencing, or was Michael transported by ambulance arriving in a trauma scenerio? What were the results of any tests given? Is there any evidence of possible head or brain trauma?memory loss? Etc
- Confirm the basis of the identification process the department used when presenting to the family "proof of life" prior to closing Michaels case.
- Reassess the decision to close the case in light of unresolved concerns.
- Reactivate the investigation dedicating the time needed to fill the gaps that remain and provide the Lewis family with fair resolution around Michaels whereabouts and well being
This petition does not accuse.

----Because Families Deserve Answers-----
•••Every day without confirmation is another day of psychological torture for those who love him•••
Hope without information becomes suffering.
Until Michael Lewis is located or his safety directly confirmed, this case should not be considered resolved.
We stand with the family in asking for renewed investigation and transparent review.
