To make a change to the Dominican customs policies.

Customs in Dominica bleeds people dry. Customs charge you more than the value of the product or they charge you the same amount the product cost. For example my package cost me $400, customs will charge me $400 to clear it. So I am paying $800 to clear one package. 

Discounts, coupons and gift cards are not considered which means customs will still charge me based on the original price of the item. Why then should I buy discounted products if I am going to pay based on the original price?!

Small businesses are heavily affected by these ridiculous policies. They are forced to charge their customers double the amount for an item in order to make a profit because they are so heavily charged at customs. Us citizens try to avoid customs by using freight service companies. 

Please acknowledge that something needs to be done about this. The country of Dominica is already really hard and we barely make any money. Customs should be helping us not making it worst.
