To keep Walgett Pool operating normal hours.

The pool is very important for our community because of Walgett’s limited services and leisure facilities, the hot weather, and because the rivers are not safe.

Individual incidents should not affect the whole community’s access to the pool.

We are members of the Walgett community that respectfully request Walgett Shire Council to keep the Walgett pool open to the public for regular hours i.e. 6–8am and 3–7pm every day.

We ask that the pool is staffed in the numbers required for staff and pool users to be safe, by people who have been trained to interact with community and who uphold ChildSafe Principles.
