I believe in silent fireworks

Katharine A Rose (Thirsk, 2020-10-21)

#3210

Fireworks on that scale will distress nearby animals.

Dawn Taylor (Kingswinford, 2020-10-21)

#3214

It’s too near horses

Gillian Hayes (Clacton-on-Sea, 2020-10-21)

I’m signing this petition because year after year we have this discussion about fireworks and the damaging effect on our pets. I think that fireworks should only be shown safely at displays but not next to farm animals or animals that are trapped in a field. The stress and anxiety caused to these animals would be immense. We need to use some common sense and only allow displays to be held safely a few miles away from any animal.

Lydia Tate-Lovery (Brentwood , 2020-10-21)

#3220

Fireworks terrify animals & they don't have a choice wheteher to be there or not. Be kind, and take the display somewhere else.

Jenny Atkin (Clydebank, 2020-10-21)

#3222

Fireworks for November 5th should only be on this one night only, as it was when I was young. It wasn’t allowed before or after this date!

Denise Sennitt (Bury St. Edmunds, 2020-10-21)

#3223

Setting off explosives for shits and giggles that close to livestock is a mindlessly thoughtless, socially negligent and completely irresponsible and antisocial thing to do.

Colin Green (St. Austell, 2020-10-21)

#3225

Fireworks are dangerous, unnecessary and -more importantly- cruel to animals.

Sheila Connell (Farnborough, 2020-10-21)

#3226

I am sick to death of hearing about the terrible suffering inflicted on domestic and wild animals every year due to fireworks. They should be banned to protect everyone.

Karen Peck (Langham, 2020-10-21)

#3230

It’s totally unnecessary to do this near livestock or animals.

Carol Elliott (Birmingham , 2020-10-21)

#3231

Animals close by could panic and do themselves serious injury. I am particularly thinking of the horses and farm animals. But pets and people can also have serious issues.
Have they got insurance against the risks? Not that money is compensation against a mare aborting her foal!

Jen Kirby (Appleby, 2020-10-21)

#3241

I am signing as I have horses in Weeley Heath that will be impacted by the fireworks. Additionally I have a golden retriever who it petrified of fireworks and I will have to dope her to calm her anxiety.

Hayley Carter (Clacton , 2020-10-21)

#3242

#3256

To prevent animals suffering needlessly

Margaret Lambert (Beckenham, 2020-10-21)

#3257

Im signing because animals shouldn't be subjected to this, its terrifying for them. often causing them to panic trying to escape from the loud noise. They injure themselves or abort their young if they are pregnant. They dont understand what fireworks are.
Its also bad enough for one day but two days is horrendous.
It is like being in a warzone. You see people on the television where there is a war going on and they are petrified and they know what is happening and are able to hide or take cover, but the animals around where they are planning to do these fireworks have no idea. All they know is that it is loud with flashing lights and they are terrified and need to hide or run to escape for all we know they could think they are going to be killed.
Horses have been found impailed with fenceposts sticking out of them trying to escape and getting stuck in the fence or animals with barbed wire wrapped around them and bleeding.
Please put a stop to this event

Debbie Taylor (Rugby, 2020-10-21)

#3260

Humans only care for themselves, not for other animals. (And yes, humans ARE animals. The worst species that has ever populated this planet.)

John Gatehouse (Llucmajor, 2020-10-21)

#3265

These displays cause severe distress to all animals, domestic, farm and wild. If they have to go ahead then please hold them where the least damage is caused

Jan Brass (Sherwood Park, 2020-10-21)

#3269

i have 2 dogs who are very frightened by loud fireworks.
i love watching them but do not understand why they have developed into such noisy trauma reminding things

j thomas (Bovingdon, 2020-10-21)

#3275

This needs to be stopped

Melanie Milnes (Holland on sea, 2020-10-21)

#3282

I’m signing because I have seen and heard the trauma caused by fireworks.

Carol Martin (Washington , 2020-10-21)

#3283

There is simply NO NEED for this to take place. It terrifies animals and needs to stop! Stop now and always

Kerry Palmer-Green (Nottingham , 2020-10-21)

#3286

This is so selfish and unfair to animals

Maurice Eccles (Colchester , 2020-10-21)

#3287

This event should be moved to a more appropriate site.

Gary Daudet (Reno, NV, 2020-10-21)

#3289

I'm signing because I am an animal owner and lover and have seen in the past what this sort of event can, even in smaller versions than what seems to be planned. Please move to a different site away animals and the homes of elderly people.

Clive Hall (Rhayader, 2020-10-21)

#3298

I see pets being terrified with somerhing that they do not understand, if it was only one night that would be bad enough, it can last from three weeks before the 5th up to the middle of Nov. Youths and people who should know better seem to suffer an unexplained madness whenever fireworks are so easily obtained from various retailers.

John Macintyre (Erskine, 2020-10-21)

#3300

I know from personal experience that animals are traumatised by firework explosions.

Anastasia Puhacz (Halifax, 2020-10-21)

#3301

This is a truly inappropriate location for the proposed firework displays. These would cause severe distress to any animals, domestic or farm, in the vicinity.

Daphne Carnegy (London, 2020-10-21)

#3302

I hate noisy fireworks as do my dog and my cat.

Margaret Ann Worrall (Aberdour, 2020-10-21)

Stuart Balchin (Bristol, 2020-10-21)

Savannah Brentnall (Los Angeles, 2020-10-21)

Macauley Kelly (Clacton , 2020-10-21)

#3323

I really hate fireworks and the stress they cause animals,

FRANK GREGORY (LYDD, 2020-10-21)

#3328

I’m singing because I agree

Anita Paluch (London, 2020-10-21)

#3331

I truly believe fireworks, no mater what the occasion, are dangerous, a waste of money and disturbing to animals of many kinds, domestic, livestock and wild and also the more vulnerable people of society.. I also believe that only fully licensed, qualified and insured organisers, with spaces specifically designed for such events, should be allowed by law to use fireworks for any purpose.

I would go much further to states that no online or high street store should be allowed to distribute fireworks, r ANY kind, without checking the person or persons purchasing them, hold a current license, qualifications and also insurance.. as they do with high explosive and lately the sale of fireworks, to the general public, should be made a criminal offence and both parties should pay a huge fine and possibly serve a prison sentence of no less than a year.

Leonie Kyle (Clacton on sea, 2020-10-21)

#3361

Fireworks are Lethal to animals and can even cause Heart attacks to those that are stressed out. . They are a waste of money . so much damage is done It’s time to stop the sale Of them and only allow them in secure organised displays.

Carol Warren (Hertfordhire, 2020-10-21)

#3362

Rebecca Briley (Pflugerville , 2020-10-21)

#3376

I’m signing because of the upset and fear that fireworks cause helpless animals.

Raina Rogers (Holland on sea, 2020-10-21)

#3378

This is utterly disgraceful, there is absolutely no thought for people & animals that will be affected by this. Not forgetting it's also against the current rules re large gatherings, I hope it is stopped.

M Hayman (Little Clacton, 2020-10-21)

#3380

I'm sick to death of selfish people who can not, or will not, recognise the harm their actions do to others. Or they just don't care.
How long have we, and our animals got to suffer these idiots?

Deborah Peak (GREAT MISSENDEN, 2020-10-21)

#3388

I have animals who are so frightened they are sick Also older people get very scared They are constantly going off every night and have been for the last two weeks and it is only October Early morning bangs are petrifying

Janice Taylor (Carlisle, 2020-10-21)

#3389

Fireworks shoudn’t be let off near ware there are animals, it causes them distress and fear leading them to behave in ways that can harm them.

Chris Mills (Carlisle, 2020-10-21)

#3394

Animals shouldn’t be exposed to fireworks

Heather Gardner (Cumbria, 2020-10-21)

#3395

My dog suffered terribly when hearing fireworks. I had to have him sedated every time. He was inside, the animals living outside have it so much worse. It's terrifying for them.
