Due to being based at Sion hill campus the shuttle bus will effect me not being able to get to and from uni and could cause a risk to me

Josie Cutler (Bristol, 2020-09-01)

#206

Student's need this essential link bus service especially during autumn/winter months.

Alan Cooper (Portsmouth, 2020-09-01)

#207

I don’t think it’s reasonable to have to walk up to uni every day with all of our equipment

Rose Taylor (Oxford , 2020-09-01)

#209

I have a daughter going to this uni this month to study textile design. She chose her accommodation in the knowledge that there was a regular shuttle bus to take her to Sion Hill. It is not fair that this service has now been withdrawn.

Sue Cooper (Newport, Isle of Wight, 2020-09-01)

#220

It’s unfair not to run the busses

Emily Mason (Hertfordshire , 2020-09-01)

#226

cutting university student transport poses a public health risk to everyone under the current global pandemic conditions

Lucy Collins (Exeter, 2020-09-02)

#230

My daughter was promised a shuttle as part of her application and her safety is paramount

Andy Smith (Hassocks, 2020-09-02)

#231

I’m signing because my daughter is starting university at the bath spa site this year and it is ridiculous to expect them to walk from halls to the site. The distance and terrain is too far and too difficult to walk each day with the equipment required. This must be reinstated immediately.

Debbie Smith (Hassocks, 2020-09-02)

#237

I’m signing because my friend starts bath uni in sept doing textiles. I would fear for her safety

Claire Lawson (Hassocks, 2020-09-02)

#242

My daughter attended this university several years ago, and with transportation, woukd have struggled immensely.

Karen Noble (Brighton, 2020-09-02)

#243

Safety is paramount to these students.

Su May (Norwich, 2020-09-02)

#248

I'm not letting my best friend die up that hill when its icy or in any dangerous weather condition thanks x

Rachel Mahoney (Brighton, 2020-09-02)

#253

I'm signing as this is really a bad issue for all students to go through when they are all stressed in the first place studying away from home and this happens. It's really not on,sort it out quickly.

Jennifer orchard (Truro Cornwall , 2020-09-02)

#259

They need transport for saft plus a long walk and definitely not safe in the dark winter head

Cecilia Clifford (Staines upon Thames, 2020-09-02)

#260

Students need this - it is unsafe for students to have to walk this far in the dark.

Frances Watts (Byfleet, 2020-09-02)

#265

I'm signing because my best friend will be starting uni at sion hill next month and I don't want her to be in any sort of danger

Connor Hodkin (Brockenhurst, 2020-09-02)

#267

As a student of Bath Spa, though this issue does not affect me personally, it is something that I see as unfair and that needs sorting.

Joseph Warne (Weston-super-Mare, 2020-09-02)

#268

It is obviously very dangerous for a number of reasons for people to risk life and limb climbing a hill in bad weather and to have to walk in the dark. They need buses.

Euniceo Clarke (West Molesey, Surrey, 2020-09-02)

#271

With so much equipment to carry in a very hilly area, it’s not safe to expect students to walk.

Anne Gibson (East Grinstead , 2020-09-02)

#274

Because I know a female student that is to study here this year.

Suzanne Littler (West byfleet , 2020-09-02)

#281

I believe students who go to this campus should get transport, aswell as newton park students.

Neo Wright (Bath, 2020-09-02)

#285

It is unfair and discriminates against those on that course.

Paul Kaye (Shrewsbury, 2020-09-02)

#292

My niece is starting this course very soon and I don't want her put in any danger by having to walk up and these hills in the winter months or in the dark!

Karen Platt (Byfleet, 2020-09-02)

#294

If that was my campus of be very upset, and I support any cause I relate to or empathise with

Isidora Krsmanovic (Sandwixh, 2020-09-02)

#325

I think it’s imperative that under the current circumstances, students have the pressure taken off them. Transport increases the vital time to be spent on our studies.

Ellen Fyfe (Bath, 2020-09-03)

#333

I’m signing because we need the free bus to help accommodate students that don’t live in the are to access universities

Kyla Hodgson (Goole, 2020-09-03)

#335

Sion hill student

Esther Glen (Norwich, 2020-09-03)

#336

I’m a students. Travel is hard especially when we have no money and are still expected to be able to show up to lessons on time even though our transport is very unreliable

Leah Windsor (Bristol , 2020-09-03)

#337

My friend has a dodgy knee and can't walk very far before she is in pain

Rebecca Day (Surrey, 2020-09-03)

#344

I’m signings this because it’s a lot to cost everyday along with important uni expenses

Jade Davis (Bristol, 2020-09-03)

#363

Students need transport. It’s unbelievable that they are paying so much money for essentially a stay at home, away from home course when most students need the resources that uni provide. It’s disgusting. There is so much already expected of them.

Owen Senior-Dexter (Yeovil , 2020-09-04)

#367

My cousin is starting in September and I’m concerned about her walking up and down especially in the dark winter months. If every other campus has a bus why stop it for the Fashion and design students?

Caroline Knight (West Molesey , 2020-09-06)

#368

With all the wealth that Bath & subsequently Bath Spa hold for what - lining more pockets? And you can’t provide a regular shuttle bus for students? SHAME ON YOU.

Rehana Jay (Cardiff , 2020-09-06)

#372

This is unfair to those who signed up to the University with the option of this transport.

Kerry Harding (Esher, Surrey, 2020-09-07)

#378

I am signing because I am a textile design student at Sion Hill. The main reason I chose to invest my money into this course at Bath Spa was the promise of my own studio space, and easy, free transport to and from the campus. This is not an easy campus to get to via walking due to the steep hill and multiple busy roads that need to be crossed. It has already started getting dark in the afternoons and as a 20 year old female I do not feel safe walking home in the evenings, having no safe transport option will mean having to leave the studio while it is still light, eating away at my studio time and stopping my flow of creativity. It is really disappointing that this decision wasn’t run past any of the students that study there as they are the only people who can vouch for how useful these buses are.

Emilia Rose Dadswell- Jones (Bath, 2020-09-08)

#381

When deciding what house to live in for this year I chose one close to the bus stop, which is now that the bus has been cancelled, a 35 minute uphill walk. With all my equipment etc it’s practically impossible and as a student I can’t afford Uber’s everyday. I think it’s really important for us to have a bus service, not only practically but I think students will be a lot more inclined to come in and use the facilities.

Matilda Black (Bath, 2020-09-09)

#383

My daughter is in her second year at Bath Spa studying Textiles. She has found accommodation near the cancelled shuttle bus stop. She is now is faced with a long walk or costly and inadequate bus service. She takes her work to and fro to college daily and works in the evenings. She regularly carries heavy portfolios and equipment: this will become impossible. She has asthma and often struggles with hill walking especially in the winter. I am very concerned that this will seriously effect her time and studies at Bath Spa Uni and impact on her health. It is vital that this service is resumed and I will do my upmost to put pressure on the University to do so.

Lizzie Black (Mousehole, 2020-09-09)

#384

My daughter used this great service everyday in her first year 2019.

Christian Dadswell (Chepstow, 2020-09-09)

#394

I can

Julie Field (Liverpool, 2020-09-09)

#399

I couldn’t afford to live closer to Sion Hill campus and can’t drive. It’s my opinion that myself and others are faced with a strong disadvantage because of the proposed lack of transport.

Olivia Dunn (Bath, 2020-09-11)

#400

I am signing this petition because I myself am a student at Sion hill & will find it challenging and frustrating having to walk up and down the hill on a daily basis with the amount of work we will be needing to bring up to the campus.
