That podcast deserves to be cancelled because it has completely lost the purpose it was created for. Instead of meaningful conversations about Amapiano, culture, creativity, or the industry, it has turned into a platform that thrives on disrespect, humiliation, and tearing people down for entertainment. There is a difference between critique and cruelty — and this podcast crosses that line repeatedly.

What makes it worse is that the people being spoken about are real human beings with mental health, families, careers, and emotions. Turning their bodies, personal lives, or struggles into jokes and viral moments is irresponsible and harmful. It normalises bullying under the guise of “being honest” or “just having an opinion,” when in reality it’s lazy content built on shock value.

A platform with influence has a responsibility. When that influence is used to belittle rather than uplift, to provoke rather than inform, and to profit off controversy instead of substance, it becomes dangerous. South African media already has enough spaces that exploit trauma and negativity — we do not need another one pretending to represent the culture while actively disrespecting it.

If a podcast can no longer contribute positively, educate, or even critique with integrity, then it should not be protected simply because it gets views. Accountability is not censorship. Cancellation, in this case, is not about silencing voices — it’s about refusing to reward harm, bullying, and degradation disguised as “entertainment.”

Culture deserves better. Artists deserve respect. And audiences deserve content with purpose, not cruelty.

Lungile Mvuni (Durban, 2026-01-18)

#9958

You can’t go to a podcast and body shame someone, that own it’s own it’s not right. We do have freedom of speech but we should practice that right correctly. As a person you should learn to keep your own perspective on about someone to yourself not go around humiliating other people. We are already facing a national disaster of GBV and then a men comes on podcast to humiliate and body shame a women and even go to an extend of comparing to another women. What Nota did it truly distasteful even an apology wouldn’t make things better. Cancel piano podcast it’s useless

Gift Khuto (Vereenging, 2026-01-18)

#9960

The podcast is vile . It’s giving people a platform to openly disrespect , body shame and antagonise other people, especially men thinking they can say whatever they feel about women , dehumanising things at that !!!
It has proven this time and time again , making “jokes “ at the expense of other people’s dignity
And not to talk about the inviting and association with men that support GBV and openly stating that “they deserve it”
And mind you this whole “content podcast “ thing is being consumed my children , youth that’ll think it is ok to be those kind of people with that kind of mindset so long you have mic shoved in you face !
