Reduction in the Civil Aviation Authority fees
The Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand (CAA) increased levies and charges in 2012. These charges have put increased pressure on aviation organisations and personnel. This petition requests government Minister(s) and CAA officials review their funding sources. This petition would like to focus specifically on the reduction of the current CAA medical fee. The fee has deterred pilots from medicals, resulting in a decrease in aviation safety. Associtated increases in fees and levies have resulted in increased pressure on aviation businesses and prevented sustainable economical stability within the industry
