Petition to OPPOSE the West Perry School District Facilities Project

Petition to OPPOSE the West Perry School District Board/Admin closing our three elementary schools and consolidating into one elementary school for the entire district.

The West Perry School Board and Administration have chosen to move forward with option 4 of the district feasibility study, to consolidate our three elementary schools and build one elementary school for the entire district on the current HS/MS campus.  This is not in the best interests of our students, staff, & the Mustang Community at large.  Our school district is 316 square miles, this plan would have all our elementary school students traveling much farther on their bus rides to school and even riding with middle and high school students for this longer bus ride.  This plan would eliminate building space/facilities used for recreational activities.  This plan would create more traffic at the intersection of 274 and 74. This would cause more parking limitations on an already crowded district campus.  These are just a few of the negative impacts this plan would have on our district.

We, the undersigned, urge you to stop moving forward with option 4 of the feasibility study and move forward to address rank 1 and 2 deficiencies at all buildings and keep our three elementary schools open.  By signing this petition I am offering my opposition to the West Perry School District Board and Administrations intent to proceed with option 4 of the feasibility study that plans to close the three existing elementary schools.
