Installation of a sound barrier wall on Hwy 12

The Holdridge neighborhood along the south side of U.S. Highway 12 is an established beautiful neighborhood in Wayzata and Minnetonka. At one time it was a quiet neighborhood with mature oak, elm, pine and walnut trees - a densely wooded neighborhood. 

Today it continues to be a beautiful neighborhood with mature trees and narrow winding roads, but has one very inhospitable problem - traffic noise from U.S. Highway 12. Highway 12, once a two-lane highway is now a four-lane divided highway carrying thousands of cars a day 24/7 every day of the year. This highway noise has made this neighborhood less tranquil and peaceful - often making it impossible to hold a simple conversation outdoors.

We believe a sound barrier wall built along the south side of U.S. Highway 12 from Clarendon Dr, Minnetonka to Bushaway Rd/Hwy 101 in Wayzata would reduce the ever present and deafening noise from traffic.
