I was appalled that an artist and professional could be treated in such a way. The school were sending out the message that the human body is filthy, that forty years isn't long enough for so-called midemeanors to be forgotten and forgiven, and that they, the administrators, were philistine prudes. It's good that they've admitted a mistake and seem ready to apologise. Real clowns are those who make appalling mistakes then stubbornly refuse to admit they are wrong.

The school committed an offence, not the teacher.

some adult decided this was the best course of action. Who was it, specifically?

we should be shaming this type of behavior.  When ones hides behind some form of 'authoritative right to anonymity' and then gets someone fired, you need explain yourself.

I see they offered her job back.  Seems like they want to comply with the law after all.

Let's see a public apology and a picture of over reactors.

Better yet, let the film star decide what she wants.

The fact that schools still allow teachers who once murdered for their state-nation and not someone who merely starred in erotic movies is beyond me. Its liking being an actress is worse than being a murderer?

Some of the films for which this seasoned educator is being "shamed" were in fact responsible in part for writer-director Jesus Franco receiving the Goya Award in his native Spain for his lifetime of achievement. I find the school's behavior in this matter both ignorant and offensive.
