Busking in Temple Bar, Dublin is part of the life force of the area and a great platform for budding artists. It's also a pleasant way to spend an afternoon, playing or listening.

Tackle the junkies and winos before worrying about the buskers!

Temple Bar is infested with zombified winos and junkies - maybe the city council should address that issue first.  Busking is part of the life and soul of a 'cultural' city.  I'd 100% support a quality control system of some sort to get rid of anyone incompetent / using backing tracks / playing the same couple of tunes day in day out etc., and wouldn't be opposed to amps being banned either, but leave the buskers themselves in Temple Bar!

I want the busking to survive in good old Dublin, the place where I spent many holidays when I was young.

Draconian proposal. Short sighted.
Guest#63 Nov 06, 2014, 11:35

They should be helping musicians and creating tourism from it, not banning them!

Don't ban busking

I've been to Ireland last year. One of the things I loved about Dublin was the Busking, I stopped in each one to appreciate the great musicians.

I just can't believe you're going to ban such a beautiful thing.

The cultural movement of the city is one of the things that makes me wanna go back.

Taking away busking in Dublin would take away the culture that is Dublin and Temple Bar.
