This proposal is extremely short-termist in view of Cardiff Council's LDP proposal to expand the village. It also makes a mockery of the Council's alleged commitment to reducing car dependency as outlined in the LDP. The Council should instead be addressing the culture of car dependency that exists in villages like Creigiau by investing in improving public transport and making it a reliable and affordable option.

How ironic, at a time when Cllr Hinchey is planning the Cardiff metro! These cuts will mean that the elderly and non car owners will be cut off from theatre, cinema, football and rugby in Cardiff. A very backward step.

this is well justified petition the Labour councillors are trying to ruin Cardiff by expanding all areas,all it will do is make it a little like London and increase crime and traffic polution

Pentyrch is the only ward in Cardiff that is not served by Cardiff bus service. There is no pedestrian facility to enter or exit the village and with a large elderly population it is vital that public transport links are maintained. This should be seen as a basic public right not least given that the council tax rates for Pentyrch are among the highest in the county.

Pentyrch is a large village of around 4000 people. Our present bus service is unreliable and more expensive than Cardiff buses. As part of Cardiff, with high council tax, this plan to cut the evening service is the last straw. There are no footpaths out of the village, so travel into Cardiff for entertainment, sport and hospital visiting hours will be impossible without the use of private cars. We have a significant elderly population that want to be as independent as possible.

Why don't we get Cardiff busses? Aren't we part of Cardiff? Don't we pay council tax or services we don't receive. The 136 often never arrives. More people in creigiau would use the busses if they were cheaper, more frequent and reliable.

Bus passengers found out about the proposal to stop the evening 136 service by pure chance. There has been absolutely NO consultation with Councillors or residents. To the best of our knowledge NOBODY from Cardiff Council has been along the route . . . especially by bus! We've written letters and e.mails to Cardiff strategic planning and had NO response. Disgraceful and dismissive behaviour. Have now been in touch with Kevin Brennan and he assures us that he will write to the Council on our behalf . . . hope he gets a reply.
