Guest#41 Dec 16, 2013, 09:32
This is terrifying . Not the same Cranhill I used to know. Wouodnt have thought twice to walk through this park as a child 15 years ago. Whats it going to take before action is taken. I feel like the police have neglected cranhill because of its shady past !! Not acceptable :(
Guest#42 Dec 16, 2013, 10:52
Cranhill Park has always been badly light and not enough CCTV I've always been very wary walking through it, It's not a very nice feeling Park...feels more like a patch of spare ground and has always been that way! About time something was done just pity about the reason :-(
My condolences to the family x

once lived there#44 Dec 16, 2013, 11:30
i grew up in cranhill , we had the usual trash like ,the glue sniffers and junkies but they would all hide behind the school , the park was an amazing place ,had well maintained tennis courts ,bowling greens ,golf course ,and a great swing park ,not to mention they put in a skateboard slide ,now its just a run down shithole ,in those days it 90 percent decent people and 10 percent scum , now its going the other way
Guest#45 Dec 16, 2013, 14:44
My daughter walks past it every day R.I.P Jean Campbell

I'm in the park everyday with my dog its just so scary that could happen something really needs to be sorted to make the park and Cranhill in general a safer place to live.
Guest#47 Dec 16, 2013, 18:31
we need better bus service too people old and young need to walk through the park really early and really late to get buses to and from work from edinburgh road.
Guest#48 Dec 16, 2013, 19:45
I grew up in Cranhill when it was a quiet little area. Then the Council Housing Officers kept a close eye on the estate to ensure that there was no bad behaviour. Perhaps Housing Associations need to be keeping a closer eye on who they are allowing to live in estates and ensure it is people who want to improve the area not commit crime and trash the place.

all parks should have cctv and more lighting as these can be very eeirie when even walkling through them without a dog
