Atelier 35 is being evacuated to make room for Pavilion

Visiting this exhibition space to see a recent exhibition was the highlight of my trip to Bucharest. The space is uniquely suited for presenting contemporary art and it's location adds much needed diversity and contemporary culture to the old area of the city. It is so important to support this space and it's exhibition program as it feeds larger cultural institutions and encourages experimental art and curatorial practices. For this to continue, it is important that atelier 35 maintains it's independence from other commercial spaces, and is not forced to work under their conditions and rules.

Imi doresc ca activitatea spatiului artistic atelier 35 sa-si continue activitatea la adresa ofera de UAP Bucuresti. Am colaborat cu Larisa si Xandra anul trecut si mi-as dori ca initiativa lor care vizeaza gentrificarea din zona Bucurestiului Vechi sa se desfasoare la adresa actuala. Am urmarit toate proiectele atelierului 35 si cred ca si-au dobindit pina acum dreptul de a beneficia de acest spatiu pe o perioada care sa satisfaca ambele parti. In momentul acesta institutia UAP Bucuresti se face vinovata de favoritism, lucru absolut suparator.

Urez mult succes Larisei si Xandrei pentru proiectele lor din Bucuresti.
