Ridiculous. My boyfriends car was smashed up and police couldn't do anything about it as it was a 'first offence'. Surely that is a punishable crime and feeding a fucking pigeon is not!!!

This is a terrible injustice. Yes, pigeons can be a nuisance, but this is not a crime that warrants imprisonment. The poor man is disabled and mentally ill. We had our lives made hell for 18 months by a neighbour who threatened to kill our daughter, who tried to break down our gates and who continually swore at us. He got a £50 fine when action was finally taken.

Why does the council insist on jailing a man who only feeds birds as a promise to those gone from the earth and for some company? There are far worse people out there who would deserve the cell more than John.
