Say NO to Peterborough Brown Bin Tax

Unbelievable! So what ARE they doing with the council tax that they now want us to do this?! Bad management, bad government, simple!

Please everyone tell everyone you know to sign this ,its outrageous they want us to pay more for living!

We all need the brown bin service. How else can we dispose of garden refuse, especially if, like me, we don't have transport and are unable to take it to the tip. If we lose this service there will be even more fly tipping than there is now.

I refuse to pay the extra fee and intend to charge the council a fee for storing their brown bin on my property from 10 working days after I give them notice to remove it!

We are paying to have them empty now,its called council tax.

PCC demonstrating again they are out of touch with the public.

We have been forced to use the brown bin and we already pay for it along with the others. If you make people pay no one will use then so it will go in general waste or left elsewhere

Just another attempt for our so call trusted council to screw the little people for all the mess they have caused and can't be bothered to man up and admit they messed up!

They used to collect it in bin bags.

Can't afford anymore tax ,,,tax tax tax people haven't got the jobs & u keep on raising your taxes it's a shame

They recycle into compost which they sell on. Why should we pay. Just another way to make more money out of us all so giving then more money to waste on something else out of there yearly budget. Not on. X

We never asked for Brown Bins in the first place!!!!!

We pay enough council tax now! The council issued these bins for garden waste we did not ask for them, this tax will result in more fly tipping !!! Why do we have fly tipping,because people do not want to pay £23.50 for a collection. This should be a free service twice a year then levy a small charge,it must cost the council more money to send out there lorries picking up the fly tipping!If this extra charge goes ahead where will it end?

The council can collect my bin if this happens as it will no longer need it

as previously stated the contents are turned into compost then sold and for a big profit so why should we have to pay for the collection, and yes those silly grey bins get rid of them, they are not fit for purpose.

I think we pay enough for very little service as it is without paying more for even less!

Not only do we over pay for council tax, there's another tax to contend with. Lower one to introduce the other if it has to be introduced

We pay for this through our council tax, they just cannot change the rules to suit themselves. find the money from somewhere else

I'm paying enough for a council tax for them to take my brown bin! Anyway they making money because you use as a compost! This is ridiculous!

Refuse collection has always been covered by the council tax we pay and we certainly pay enough already! This act will only encourage people to go back to using their black bins or dumping it illegally so how is this good for the environment?
