Ludicrous to be sending money abroad when it could be put to better use at home.

we should be looking after people living in the UK before we send money to other countriies.

Charity begins at home. A good deal of foreign aid goes to the wrong people, and some of these countries are quite wealthy anyway.

charity begins definitely at home, I'm told by Adrian Sanders MP that all money has now stopped to India and China, but nothing has been in the news regarding this.
we need a new government who can sort the situation out without changing their minds from one day to the next.

its about time this money was spent on our country, and our people, not overseas.

#1: - Charity does begin at home. One, yes one stopped payment from each country, would help the victims of the lack of maintenance, by our council/environmental service.

 

give help to U.K first when our hospitals & police are up to scratch & our flood defences are done ;Then we help those abroad who can afford to go into space but can't help their people with out us

our flood victims need help we are the first to send money to other countries. As my old gran used to say charity begins at home.

At least half of foreign aid should be used
for this kind of cause, also why sprnd 50 billion pounds plus on HS2 to save 30mins on a train.

If this had happened in other countries we would have been the first country to send money--we should look after our own people--charity begins at home!

Let's look after our own we are not the providers for the world

We must help people in the UK first, after all it's our Tax monies, only help people abroad when there own countries are unable to find the funds and not countries who are spending monies on projects that we can not afford.

We seem to be the last country to be considered for help our sympathies are with the southern area

Start solving this country's problems for once, tax payers expect and demand a service in return - especially with this current disaster.
What's the point of sending vast sums of "our" money abroad, to then be told "we could try and ask the E.U. for money back"!

It's time we stopped giving away our money to rich countries and gave to our own flood victims who are in need of help. £2500 for each small business/victim isn't enough. £5000 starter point would help them better. DON'T BE SO MEAN MR.C.

Most of the overseas aid should be diverted to aid the people who have paid in taxes.
