Stop transportation of donkeys from Bonaire (a Dutch-Caribbean island) to Haiti ! The government of Bonaire wants to capture all 200 stray donkeys that roam the island and send them to Haiti to be used as working animals. I completely agree that the stray donkeys must be rescued from the streets. Donkey Sanctuary Bonaire has already been trying to get this done for many years. But because they do not get any financial support from the government they did not succeeded to do so until now.

animal abuse is rife and donkeys are frequently subjected to overloading, overworking and underfeeding on top of being beaten. Dumping animals on a country with no history of good animal husbandry isn't the way to solve problems - it's education at the source of the problem.

This is so cruel, these donkeys deserve a better life, if no one steps in, they keep on doing it. I pledge to help this poor animals, this is so bizzare. I hope, the Goverment in Haiti will wake up and the tourismen will not tolerate this aweful behavior, they do not have the right to treat an animal like this. We are the voice for these donkeys.
