Quality coaching as supplied by WFC for womens football is vital to the development of Players and Coaches and the gane as a wholeNot recogniseing the quality input and the positive effect on the game over a num,ber of years send out totally the wrong negative message

The more I hear about this the more incensed I feel. Kay Cossington you should resign and take your colleagues at the FA with you, before you completely destroy what has been achieved in women's football in this country with your idiotic policies. Your stupid PDCs are going to offer only a third of the coaching exposure that the girls currently receive and are going to be given just a quarter of the funding. You may be stupid but the girls and parents are not. Do not try to convince us that this is about improving excellence!

This action is an erosion of the core root of football and it will lose support from the people who brought it to its current level.

The FA are only interested in PREM teams. The rest of us are just an inconvenience to them. If we were called Manchester/Chelsea etc and didnt need the money/exposure they would be quick to jump in and kiss our backsides. Not saying that football is corrupt or anything. OK I am. Thanks FA for absolutely FA. Just remember in years to come when the big teams turn their backs on you, that you turned your backs on us. MOST FUTURE ENGLAND INTERNATIONALS WILL BE LOWER LEAGUE PLAYERS COZ THE PREM GUYS CANT BE BOTHERED. This is true of mens and womens football. Thanks for nothing as per usual.

Over 2000 signatures on here now, surely the FA can't still ignore Watford (and Crewe's) appeals? Oh I forgot we are not allowed to appeal!! What sort of organisation is the FA, old blokes sitting around making decisions based on geography and the premiership (and I include Sir Trevor in that group). FA let us appeal in person or in writing - officially. Do not bury your heads in the sand on this it will NOT go away.

It is disgusting that the FA have been allowed to do this to Girls football. We MUST do everything possible to change the decisions and give our girls the same opportunities that the boys get.

Very short sighted decision by the FA - and the same comment applies to their move to close down the facility at Ipswich Town.

This is a mistake and to try and suppress the petition and stories in the press is abhorant. The FA should be ashamed! Yes you know who you are!

Can't blame the clubs for being worried about a FA backlash but it is absolutely disgraceful that the FA are trying to bully them into silence and submission.

What have they got to hide? Embarrassed about the lies that have been told?

Respect? None whatsoever!

What's the difference between FIFA and the FA?

Just the FI!

ARsenal were given a london administered licence , so hertfordshire does not own a licence at all now ? Just because arsenal happen to play on hertfordshire soil, watford were dropped, ??? Absolute disgrace.

Wouldn't help drive up the standard of Excellence by letting Arsenal have another Excellent centre nearby would it?!

I seem to remember that Arsenal by no means had it all their own way when they came up against the Watford girls this season! Surely that was good for both centres and the women's game as a whole? But there's none so blind as those that will not see.

I thought it was quite clear. Put another way:

The idiots at the FA haven't got a clue what they are doing with this ridiculous proposal. They refuse to acknowledge the obvious.  The best chance of improving the level of excellence in girls football is to have other excellent Centres of Excellence like Watford competing with and pushing Arsenal all of the way, not getting rid of them purely because of ill-founded geographical considerations.

FA have no common sense, the FA are a complete laughing stock and have lost complete control of the whole situation. From a very angry Middx CofE parent.

I've read on a forum that the CoE licenses will be awarded annually? Are we going to have all this upheaval now year after year where a girl can sign for a CoE, play for a year, it loses status, trial everywhere again and repeat this year after year!!!!!!

Watford FC Girls Centre of Excellence is a fantastic set up and should be supported by the FA.
