Please think on this, it's not just feng shui or superstition. I personally don't care for all that, what I care about is my baby. I do not want her playing/living/eating near a columbarium. I do not think it is mentally, spiritually or physically healthy. It is not fair to have death shoved into the faces of our little ones who barely started living, in the form of hearses, mourning families in black or being told not to play or run around the respect the dead. It is not fair to them and it is not fair to us. This is a nasty unethical surprise... less than 6 months before we collect our keys and this happens.

I am also a resident of Fernvale Lea.I don't like idea of building columbarian. We were only told that proposed chinese temple.

I'm also the future owner. To be honest, what can this petition page do? HDB or the government will not see this. We all should write in to HDB or Area Town Council to protest. We should gather more the for better chances.

 Thank you for the email. From my understanding, the developer has not submitted the confirmed plans yet. I will be meeting with HDB and the developer to discuss the proposed development there.

Building a columbarium right in the middle of residential estates it's not right. The general public would be uneasy to know that they are in such a close proximity to such facilities housing the dead. Also, there's no way the columbarium would be out of sight to surrounding buildings given it's present location. The surrounding are also full of developing private residential properties, a new shopping mall, the famous supper place Jalan Kayu and a beautiful and clean SengKang Riverside Park as well as the SengKang Sports Complex - it's just not right to have a columbarium right in the middle of these! I believe there are better area, such as those lands in Seletar Farmway.

NEA has gone and awarded tenure to a Australian company who offers PAID services to the general public including and not limited to : casket sales, funeral facilitation (event management basically) etc.That is not right! HDB is not suppose to tender place of worship to a profit making organisation!

seriously the people who propose columbarium in a neigbohrhood estate
are out of mind,not a professional at all..
