La Federazione Mondiale dei Sordi sta invitando le persone a firmare questo documento "New Era" , che rifiuta le risoluzioni del Congresso di Milano 1880, che ha vietato l'uso della lingua dei segni dai programmi educativi per i bambini sordi. Questo è un appello a tutte le nazioni e le persone di tutto il mondo per ricordare la storia e garantire che i programmi educativi accettino e rispettino tutte le lingue, comprese le lingue dei segni, e tutte le forme di comunicazione. Il Documento New Era è stato presentato e firmato da centinaia di persone nel 21 ° Congresso Internazionale sulla Educazione dei Sordi (ICED) nel luglio del 2010 a Vancouver, Canada. La petizione ufficiale, che troverete di seguito, è ora aperta per le firme fino al prossimo Congresso ICED in Grecia 2015. Si prega di firmare la petizione in fondo a questa pagina (vedi sotto).
