Community Petition: Urgent Request for Support and Intervention at Kempton Park SAPS

We, the undersigned residents of the Kempton Park Extensions, including Kempton Park Extensions 2–4, Allen Grove, Aston Manor, Nimrod Park, and Glen Marais, hereby submit this petition to urgently call for increased support and intervention at the Kempton Park Police Station (SAPS).

Our Demands:

• More Vehicles for the VISPOL Unit The current shortage of patrol vehicles severely hampers visible policing efforts. We demand that the Kempton Park SAPS be provided with sufficient resources to ensure a minimum of two patrol vehicles per sector.
• Deployment of Ethical and Competent Officers We call for the appointment of more ethical and community-focused police officers who will improve visibility, restore public trust, and actively work to prevent crime.
• Improved Detective Services We urge the deployment of adequately trained and qualified detectives to ensure all reported crimes are investigated professionally and that suspects are brought before the courts.
• Investigation into Alleged Corruption We request an independent investigation into the numerous allegations of corruption at the Kempton Park Police Station. Such actions are necessary to ensure transparency, accountability, and the integrity of the SAPS. As law-abiding and concerned citizens, we seek to live in a community where safety and justice are prioritized. We are willing to collaborate with SAPS and all relevant authorities but expect immediate and tangible action from the leadership.
