Pöyristyttävää taas päättäjiltä ajatella pelkkää rahaa. Kyseinen skatepuisto on legendaarinen ja osa Helsingin historiaa. Se on todella iso osa suomalaista skeitti ala kulttuuria. Minun Suomessa eikä meidän Helsingissä tulisi ajatella kyseisen puiston hävittämistä!

Nuorten luvallisia oleskelupaikkoja leikataan ja puretaan jatkuvasti ilman, että mitään uutta luodaan tilalle. Sitten ihmetellään, että miksi syrjäytyneitä nuoria on koko ajan enemmän ja nuoret "hengailevat" paikoissa, jotka eivät ole siihen tarkoitettu. Kaupunki on muutakin kuin uusia asuntoja ja kauppakeskuksia varten.

It's always a huge disappointment to hear or see parks like this get demolished, or have a threat to be demolished. Spots like this are almost always built in abandon areas that were previously used for criminal activities and trash dump sites. Skateboarders seek out these areas to convert them into a very positive and productive area, where people work together to create an environment where all ages can build, skate, and do art at their freedom. It improves the community in so many ways, and teaches the youth great work ethics and team work. It's makes the youth feel great to be a part of something positive and active and keeps them away from negative actives. Please realize that places like this put any good cumuntiy in the right direction.

Kaupunkia rakentaessa ajatellaan että tehdään siitä eläväinen. Nyt siellä on jo sellainen elementti joka tuo elämää ja ihmisiä paikalle joten miksi siitä pitäisi luopua? Parantaa sitä varmasti voi rakentamisen yhteydessä mutta ei todellakaan kannata poistaa!

Onhan se hyvä pitää paikat entisellää jos ne on hyvässä kunnossa ja turvallisia. Nuorilla (13-17v ->) ihmisillä on muutenkin liian vähän paikkoja joissa viettää aikaa ja harjoitella omia mielenkiinnonkohteita, tässä kohtaa skeittaamista. Antaa nuorien pitää omat paikkansa joissa viihtyy. On tuolla varmasti paljon muutakin tilaa johon tunkea jotain muuta ylimääräistä... positiivinen asia minkä takia tämän pitäisi jäädä on se että saa nuoret liikkeelle pois koneiden äärestä ja tapaamaan uusia ihmisiä, kiitos!
