Ive also been a victim of mistreatment by the Garda in Pearse street station around 2,000 , but never took it any further, and they think they can do want they want with impunity and im convinced that in certain stations there is a culture of these type of beatings or certainly back then anyhow. Its a dangerous job and they experience violence daily unfortunately i think this has breed some very violent Gardai, with an us againist the world mentality with a "blue code of silence" and that every drunken youth is a scumbag and should be treated as such.
