Share the burden of commuter parking across Marshalswick South and Clarence Wards fairly

It is accepted that a parking scheme needs to be implemented in Marshalswick South due to concerns around issues of safety and traffic flow and the review of the existing Ladder Roads CPZ to address the unfair way in which the streets in Marshalswick South bear the brunt of the commuter parking problem is welcomed. However, under the revised proposals that were published in August 2020 almost the entire burden of commuter parking will continue to be borne by Marshalswick South whilst streets of a similar nature in Clarence Ward enjoy resident only parking restrictions.

The Council and local Councillors should work with residents from both wards to develop a scheme that adopts a fair and equitable approach to sharing the burden of commuter parking across the whole area.
