Shade sail for QE2 Park in Queanbeyan

The fantastic revamped Queen Elizabeth Two Park has been reopened in Queanbeyan. The new playground equipment is fantastic, however one major thing was overlooked: shade for the playground. Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council have said on their own Facebook page post that trees have been planted and will provide some shade:

 

These trees are however going to take years to grow and even when they do, they will not proivde adequate shade. This playground is out in the open and will be unusable for most of the time during summer due to the equipment being too hot and children getting sunburnt. Please sign and share this petition so we can get council to put up shade so our kids can use this fantastic new playground!
