Retired Greyhound Enclosed Run Area

We adopted two ex racing greyhounds, Sally and Conrad, about six months ago now and have discovered that they are the absolute BEST dogs. We adopted them from GAWA and were told not to let them off the lead and be a bit wary of them around other dogs, especially little fury ones, : )  so went on the hunt for an enclosed area where we could let them do zoomies. We discovered Zoomie Land in Cannington and took them once but, from Scarborough, it's a bit of a trek. Morley Vet has an enclosure behind their vet clinic which we hired out for a half hour but we could only have our dogs in there. 

The Council needs to understand that not all of our darling hounds get on with other dogs. They've had a pretty rough start in life and, as a result, some do have issues. Interacting with other hounds is all they know and it would be lovely if they could have a space where they can do just that without us, as owners, having to worry about everything going on around us on our on lead walks that might set our hound off. 

So, I am starting this petition to request that the the Stirling Council create an enclosure similar to Zoomie Land specifically for retired greyhounds that can be used by all greyhound owners in the area. I believe there would be a lot of hound owners in the Northern Coastal area who would really like to have something close to home. 

There is a huge grassed area right next door to the Council offices just sitting there with the convenience of a carpark too. I am asking the Council if they could spare 20m x 20m area to create a high fence enclosure with double gate entry for our beloved hounds to run, interact with each other and do all the zoomies they want.
