No to disconnection of electricity to residents on arrears.
MKP has noted with concern the notice issued by the Dipaleseng Local Municipality that it intends to disconnect electricity from 28 May 2025 of residents who are allegedly on arrears on their municipal accounts. Umkhonto Wesizwe further calls for the resignation of the Municipal Manager (Lwazi Cindi) and the Chief Financial Officer (Arthur Thokoane) for failure to advise council accordingly in relation to the accounts alleged to be in arrears.
