Internship year in 4th year

To my fellow students,
We are fast approaching TE, many of us may be concerned about what this would mean for our families and our potential health implications, therefore, a few students have decided to create this petition as a solution that could benefit many students. We have comprised an idea that TE should become an internship year we will all be required to do during our fourth year, due to many students not being in the right age group to become vaccinated before TE, this may serve as a solution to protect students against the Delta variant during the third wave we are currently going through in South Africa. We would like to propose to the head of TE and education in Wits, that the third block becomes a learning and  an assessment period ,where we will start with the curriculum of the third year in the fourth block, therefore, leaving two blocks in the third year for relevant and essential parts of the fourth-year curriculum to be incorporated into our degree. Please sign this petition as a way for our voices, concerns and solutions to be advocated to people who may make a difference.
