Move That Mast Hebden Bridge

As residents of - and interested parties in - Hebden Bridge, we oppose the erection of a Network Rail Mast at the proposed site on Shelf Road. Although we understand that a mast is necessary to maintain Railway Infrastructure, we ask that the mast be relocated on the following grounds:

Hebden Bridge is an area of natural beauty - the 20 m mast and 3m square equipment box will be an eyesore

The people of Hebden Bridge have not been given sufficient opportunity to voice their concerns about the current location, which is within 500m of 2 Primary Schools.

The mast site is in close proximity to several homes - we believe the installation of the mast may have a negative effect on house prices in the immediate area

That we do not believe there is sufficient evidence that the mast will not pose long-term health risks to those living and working in the surrounding area.

We urge Network Rail to find an alternative location for the mast, away from our schools, homes, community buildings and businesses.
