Rosie, are you a student at One? From what people have told me the mainstream students at One have the option of studying modules which mean they are there 5 days a week. The SEN pupils timetables will now be delivered over 3 days, meaning they have their option modules cut from 3 to 1. The students in question come from special schools in Suffolk for children with moderate to severe learning difficulties and therefore require a high level of support. Suffolk County Council were responsible for closing the specialist 6th forms that were attached to the special schools because they said that One would provide them with the equivalent education. The specialist 6th forms had delivered the students education over 5 days and parents and students were promised the same at One. Suffolk One is not a college, it is a sixth form, and therefore should not be compared to FE colleges.
