Urgent Double Yellow Lines Need To Be Installed Outside 53-63 Redbridge Lane East-Coe's Corner
As concerned residents of the IG4/5 area; regarding the parking situation on Redbridge Lane East, opposite number 48. Specifically outside 53-63 Redbridge Lane East[Coes's Corner].
The new car rental company operating in this area has begun parking their vehicles directly on the road, adjacent to the pavement. The presence of bollards prevents these vehicles from being mounted on the kerb, which has significantly narrowed the road. This situation has escalated to a point where it poses a public highway risk.
Many of us have personally experienced near-collisions due to drivers attempting to overtake or undercut traffic at peak times. This is not merely an inconvenience but a clear safety hazard that demands immediate attention.
We urge the Parking and Traffic Enforcement team to consider the installation of double yellow lines in this area to prevent such parking practices. The current setup is untenable and endangers both drivers and pedestrians.
If this petition does not prompt the necessary action, we are prepared to escalate this matter by organising further petitions amongst local residents and involving our MP, Wes Streeting.
