/ #76 Re: Really2014-11-02 14:31It's not a matter of toughening up. Why should these kids be the only ones not streamlined into the corresponding high school. It puts them at a definite disadvantage. If it works for the schools as far as numbers go, why not do it? They have their whole lives to make more friends. Why put them in this position at such a tough time of their lives. Most of the people commenting on the app article don't have a clue. They are all adults that this doesn't affect. I really think people don't realize that Silverton is the only area that this happens to and our kids are the minority and the only ones that need to make new friends. The other kids out number them about 500 to 100 and they don't necessarily need to make new friends, they all get to stay with the ones they have been with for at least 3 years. |
