I love to hear the kids playing the drums. Keeping them out of trouble and entertained.
Guest#28 Jun 10, 2016, 13:33
Good Luck to the kids
Guest#29 Jun 10, 2016, 13:46
As a community we should be encouraging children to grow and give them more opportunities as opposed to taking them away.
Guest#30 Jun 10, 2016, 14:10
Let them drum, stop moaning
Guest#31 Jun 10, 2016, 14:23
This is something positive for the children and should remain
Guest#32 Jun 10, 2016, 14:32
I loved hearing the drumming & want to support such a great hobby for children to be involved with.
Guest#33 Jun 10, 2016, 14:38
Unreasonable to not allow such a fine musical group to play and have events in our village.
Quite wrong to allow minority complaints to take this away from the people.
Guest#34 Jun 10, 2016, 14:42
I signed this petition to support the Witham drummers playing in our village.
Guest#35 Jun 10, 2016, 14:44
It's something for the kids to get involved in & to learn & enjoy.
Guest#36 Jun 10, 2016, 14:48
Our children need this sort of healthy activity.
Guest#37 Jun 10, 2016, 15:43
There is extensive psychological research that provides evidence of strengthening the neural connections in the brain when engaged with this type of activity. The social skills, discipline and confidence it gives young peole are also key areas of benefit.

Because I live in Witham and I think it us wonderful thing for the children to take part in
Guest#39 Jun 10, 2016, 16:29
I live in the village, it is a ridiculous situation
Guest#40 Jun 10, 2016, 16:44
Young children deserve to be allowed to learn and practice music
Guest#41 Jun 10, 2016, 16:46

It sad that it finished after just a just a few complained .
Guest#43 Jun 10, 2016, 16:55
An hour a week causes hardly any disruption but the enormous confidence and self-worth children get from being part of a group and achieving something is enormous. It should be encouraged!
Guest#44 Jun 10, 2016, 17:02
It's a local group for kids to have an opportunity to play an instrument and meet new people
Guest#45 Jun 10, 2016, 17:22

I absolutely love the sound of the marching band, I find myself playing the air drums when I hear the beat!

Guest#46 Jun 10, 2016, 17:22
why do people get annoyed with children when they are keeping out of trouble. I could understand if they were wrecking gardens or allotments.
Guest#47 Jun 10, 2016, 17:25
Love hearing the drummers, kids should not be stopped doing something like this
Guest#48 Jun 10, 2016, 17:30
Music can change the lives of young people and they should be encouraged with their drumming.
Guest#49 Jun 10, 2016, 17:34
People moan about kids on the streets causing trouble but than complain when something is done for the kids
Guest#50 Jun 10, 2016, 18:09
Please let the children use school grounds. As a resident in squirrel chase you can definitely hear them but if the school isn't the heart of the community to develop well rounded young people and educate them in a range of skills - what use is it? We love the drumming please don't be pressured by a minority.
