SL the #1

SL is the 1st matter in the deaf community.
In my opinion the distinguished priority fact in the deaf community is using the Sl in educational programms.

Sign Language: Hearing Imapired's eye-glasses to knowledge

The UN Charter on Human Rights speaks of rights the of people. These rights are everyones's rights and are entitled to enjoy and to have protected by law. They are inalienable and belong to every man, women and child who is in this world. Educational opprotunity access is a right for every human person to free himself or herself from any form of oppression and degradation. To forbit use of sign language by hearing impaired (deaf) in persuing their studies is totally dehumanizing and dis-respects and denies the very existence of this group of people with special needs in the world. Deaf people (HI) need sign language as glasses to read through, see through any form of injustices that lay ahead of them when they are educated. Sign language is a means to an end-free citizenship/liberated, and competent independent living beings. Sign language must continue to be used by hearing impaired in attaining education.

quien escucha? y quien oye?

Sign language as a language to exam deaf students

I hope it will be proper and good deaf students to be examed using sign language. In case of our country Zimbabwe, most deaf student fail to proceed with education because they are examined with foreign language and foreign examiners, i mean with people who does not understand deaf culture and sign language.

I therefore second the right to use sign language in educational programmes.

Sign language as a language to examine deaf students in schools

I hope it will be proper and good for deaf students to be examined using sign language. In case of our country Zimbabwe, most deaf student fail to proceed with education because they are examined with foreign language andexaminers, i mean with teachers who do not understand deaf culture and sign language. In order to meet the Millenium Development Goals - education for all by the end of 2015, include the deaf. Exclusion of deaf  people in the MDGs means its not 'Education for All'.

I therefore second the right to use sign language in educational programmes.
