Save Ebrington Primary School (Gloucestershire)

Because know family, whose youngest daughter should be enrolling @ this primary school next September & their older daughter is already there! It will greatly inconvenience them, IF closure goes ahead; they are able to WALK to school @ the moment, too!

As a school governor in my own village I am strongly in favour of retaining a village school - not only for the convenience of local children and parents, but that it is an important lifeblood for the community as a whole along with the village shop and pub'.

it directly affects my family and my children we are long term residents of the area and are likely to be here for a long time to come

With planning permission granted for 16 properties on land adjacent to Badgers Field there is already a concern about vehicle movement in the area. With the Peartree Centre now being occupied by Kiddiwinks nursery there is already an increase in traffic parking in the area. If this goes ahead there will be no spaces for new children to the area to attend primary school. There are at least 2 house building programmes in Chipping Campden which will bring more children to the area.

I want to save this wonderful school. My granddaughters go to this school and they are both well rounded children who love school.

First and foremost it's depriving the children of being educated within their local environment and a school is always the heart of the community. Take that away and you rip the heart out of Ebrington

Ebrington School is a unique school that retains a village identity, creates a friendly environment and cares for its pupils as family. To lose this school would be a tragedy to the village and those children who benefit from its close community. My daughter found her feet here and like others went on to be successful and confident. Chipping Campden and Ebrington are different communities but bound by this successful federation. Don't lose it!

We live in calf lane & traffic & concegestion is already chaotic most days without more traffic being added !!

A village which loses its school will lose it's heart. There is no valid reason why this school should be moved.

I believe our children deserve the opportunity to go to their school in or close to their own village. Each morning, I see them walking to our school always with a smile on their face, looking forward to their day at school. This is a testament to the school and their teaching staff to encourage the children in a very positive way.

The justification for closing Ebrington primary have not been made, the benefits of doing so have not been shown on even a basic level, and bullying the change through without support is undemocratic.

Village schools are important to keep for a number of reasons, not only so children can attend school in their own village without having to travel but also not all children have the confidence to attend larger town schools with high numbers, the smaller village schools help to develop their confidence as well as all other aspects of their learning. A smaller village school has certainly been the key to aiding my son's learning and development.

I went to this school and loved my time there, it taught me important values. I will be moving to the village and hope for my daughters to attend Ebrington School. Small class sizes are beneficial in children's education.
