With more than 700,000 Persian blogs, mostly based in Iran, the Persian language is ranked as the second-most-popular language in the entire blogosphere. Unfortunately, Iranian journalists, bloggers and news websites administrators are under heavy censorship, pressures and threats by the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran in order to stop the Iranian public from having access to variety of news sources and opinions. Therefore, we hereby request that Digg.com consider the provision of Persian (Farsi) language support, tools and platform (sub-domain) for the Iranian internet community to enable them in their mission to provide independent news and opinions to a potential target audience of more than tens of millions in Iran and other Farsi speaking countries, while at the same time open Digg.com to this sizable demographic community

Please Add Persian section to Digg. Freedom fighters in Iran need an stable website to do their job which is sharing information.

Balatarin.com has traditionally been a place for sharing news in recent years, but they have banned many Secular users from their website forever! Islamic Republic owns all major Persian websites. This is ridiculous.

Digg.com or Reddit.com please help us to use Web 2.0 freely. We need it under this dictatorship.

our grandfathers did overcome the dictatorship of MOhamada Ali mirza just by few newspapers of those times, we have lot more than them in communication,unfortunately we have not been able to deal with this so called islam republic,to do so we must put all our heart in this though way as they did.
