A person who has led the efforts to demonize a law abiding, highly civilized and popular leader like Narendra Modi does not deserve to be a judge in any court, especially a US court. The popular sentiment against Preeta Bansal is solely based on her past actions and views and has nothing to do with her personality as such. American Hindus will not support the candidacy of any person pursuing public office if the candidate has engaged in activities that are deemed Anti Hindu or Anti India.

Under the law, every accused is presumed to be innocent until proven guilty.
Ms Bansal, in her blind quest at nurturing her career and legitimizing political acceptance to the American society at large, has not only humiliated an individual without providing him an opportunity to defend himself, but also cast aspirations on the entire judicial process in India.
In the discharge of her functions as a member of the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom, Ms Bansal has acted as the prosecutor and judge against Narendra Modi, which exceeds all behavioural norms expected out of a mature, civilized mind.

Bansal is a law professional yet she acted with severe bias just for the sake of her career, and not for truth or justice. She does not deserve any respectable position where law and justice is concerned.

Good. I think it needs to be more forceful. Also there is an undercurrent of feelings that behind this denial of Visa was the hand of the Congress party. This needs to be thoroughly investigated. The Congress tried every trick in the book and going to the extent by calling him various names at the time of every election campaign and this Lok Sabha election has been most bitterly fought by the Congress. There is sufficient ground reasons to believe that the US State dept was influenced by the Italian lady.

Ms. Bansal was instrumental in getting the Religious Freedom Commission to remove India as a "country of particular concern" and to recognize its bias in listing India as such following the Gujarat riots.  She ably put forward the Indian American and Hindu American perspective and was effective in pointing out India's commitment to religious pluralism and religious freedom.  At the time of the 2005 Modi visa denial, India's various investigative bodies, including its National Human Rights Commission and the courts, had determined that Modi WAS complicit in preventing the Gujarat violence -- the Indian Supreme Court reversed some of those findings only many years later.  Ms. Bansal very effectively served on the Religious Freedom Commission, and she was awarded the Mahatma Gandhi Award for Religious Pluralism from the Hindu American Foundation for her service.

The same HAF who published a caste report to undermine Indian government and to create bad image of India's heritage and history which got severe opposition from the entire Hindu community. When 58 Hindus burnt alive including children and women by Muslim Mob and secular media forgot to report that every time just the way the law-suit filers. What would you do if Judge Bansal if you mother or a wife or your child was burnt alive what would you do? That is why riots happened in the first place. In addition, additional 254 were killed in the riots. When the city population is over million people tell me how Government control the riots? The Honorable PM is exonerated by the Supreme Court of India. The Supreme Court was under the Congree Government. Judge Bansal you need to resign because you are a biased judge. Thank you.

Mr. Narendra Modi was unjustly denied visa to US because of partisan and biased attitude of prejudice due to efforts of Ms. Preeta Bansal. Please note none of the charges against Mr. Modi were substantiated and India's supreme court appointed a commission which also vindicated Mr. Modi of all charges of any involvement in riots.
