We have kids, a pup, and a need to entertain our family out of doors. A socialized dog is a friendly, happy dog. Without this type of place to go, we'll have more illegal dog walkers. If you are worried about responsible owners taking care of the dog waste, all ya need to do is fine those who don't obey the law. The word spread's fast and the fines could go to pay for monitoring the park and paying for improvements.

Many people don't have big back yards and as a result dogs don't get enough exercise. Just try throwing a ball or a frisbee on leash ... it's futile. The only mean dog's i've met are under socialized and remain shut off from the public. Utahns need to be inspired to walk, get outside, parks like this encourage just such a thing.
