Marin County Open Space - Bike Specific Trails

More access for mountain bikers will reduce the impact on the few legal trails that currently exist.

Bike riders in Marin need to have more equitable share of the available trails to ride throughout the county.

Not financially ready to send money, but can definitely see that we need equal treatment for trails...Do hikers and other users pay extra? Hummm...

Growing up in Marin county I hope to be able to share the beauty & excitement of mountain biking with future generations.

Banning bikes from trails in Marin has proven to be an unenforceable miserable failure. Bikers have proven in other areas like Tahoe that shared use and single use solutions work. By alienating stakeholders like bikers you eliminate a vast volunteer force and discourage people who would otherwise be dedicated to protecting the trails.

I do not live in Marin, but my friends and I can be found there at least one day most weekends riding our mountain bikes. When we come, we buy from local merchants and eat at local restaurants. With Bike specific trails we can all get along.

Trails in Marin need to support various user groups. Some trails should be multi-user, others user specific.

The demand for bicycle legal singletrack in Marin county has vastly outpaced supply. Outdated, poorly conceived use policies which prohibit bicycles perpetuate user conflict and frustration. Please provide more access for bicycles to singletrack trails in Marin. Thank you.

As a resident of Marin, I would LOVE more mountain bike legal/only trails!

I hope this happens, we could always use more bike trails...

Through banning mountain bikes on most trails we have lost nearly 30 years of opportunities to understand how this can work through shared experience.

Yes, yes, yes!!! This is fine all across OR, WA, and BC, why not the birthplace of mountain biking?

Would visit Marin business more if I had a place to ride there.
