Keeping the tradition alive with scarlet and gold makes total sense,even with the ugly black,if they wanted to be hip they would take some ideas from the Oregon ducks with our colors,now that would sell jerseys

Not 9er enough we need gold in the jerseys this looks like an Atlanta or a Buccaneer uniform.... We need to add gold thanks!

I hate the alternate uniforms and was highly disappointed in what they came out with. The gold should never be left out and it looks way better with it.

The plain red does not look very good. Add the Gold trim and then they look awesome !!

I have been a 49ers fan since the 80's. Red and Gold. They look almost like the Falcon's jersey colors. Please leave the gold. That is the point of the 49ers, San Francisco, the "Gold" Rush......

I won't buy the new alternates. They look boring, and they look like they don't belong with the helmet. I would buy the gold-trimmed jersey pictured with the petition in a hearbeat. Those look sharp, classy, and they make the jersey work with our helmets (maybe a black decal stripe to replace the white one?).

It looks better than any jersey and all our players will look good and look like we mean serious business

I signed this petition because I feel the same as many others. I am always open for change but when the colors of the 49ers jerseys have always been scarlet and gold and a new alternate jersey comes out in black and red with only a Nike swoosh symbol stitched in gold, I and thousands of others do not sit to well with this. I love the new design with the gold outline and hopefully they would consider this change.

It's just not Niner like not to have noticeable hints of gold at least

I like the idea of an alternate. But we are the Red n Gold!!!! Never forget our roots!!!!

I'm a faithful fan and the fact that we have moved away from our city is enough change for me!!! The saying I bleed red and gold not red and black.

The color Black shouldn't of never been allowed in the 1st place but i guess u can't have your cake and eat it too so i guess adding our traditional gold would ease the pain of seeing those uniforms this fall.

Been a San Francisco 49ers fan from back in the day. Saw them go from red and gold to crimson and gold, white and crimson to white and back to red and gold, so if they are going to wear a black uniform (not too keen on the idea) it better have some noticeable gold, and outlining the letters, numbers and leg stripes just makes it all pop!

They already have their black uniforms without the gold, so those aren't going anywhere. Perhaps they could keep those and create new ones with the gold added, and the original blacks without the gold could be the "limited" / "first season" edition.
