1. The Classics should remain in Western education.
2. My uncle was an elementary school teacher in Finland.
3. My son has done his Erasmus studies in Finland (Tampere).
4. So I have a positive feeling about Finland, being part of the Western culture. :-)

I feel very scared to learn, that FInnland, where the study of Latin enjoyed previously so much importance, being exemplary for the other Europena countis has the intenttion now out of , I suppose of finacial reasons, to cut it! Elimination of Latin means to open the door both for ignorance and anti-rationalism , even for cutural isolatoin

The study of Latin is an indespensible tool for historical, philological and philosophical research. By cutting it off, we cut off a significant part of our own cultural, historical and intellectual heritage.

Latin is a unique language and it has to be saved, containend and studied. Everbody has to have all the options, even if one options is rarely chosen
