Leave the horses alone where they are in Fisherhaven. They are safe, loved and secure in their existing environment!

Been coming to Fisherhaven for the past 30 years. Enjoy the wildlife especially the horses. What an amazing privelage to be able to enjoy them and what a great tourist opportunity. Hope the municipality does the right thing ie putting up signage and a cattle grid in china marais.

They are part of Fisherhaven for years and always beautiful to look at.

These horses are an asset to the community and a great tourist attraction. They have probably been here for longer than those objecting to their presence. Let them be.

I love the Wild ones. They are beautiful.

In the Overberg area we are privileged to have a great many species of wildlife. These horses are no exception to the effort for people to coexist with nature and it's many manifestations. People are only one of creatures to inhabit the world we need to respect other life as well as our own convenience.

I was raised in Hawston ,have family there and in Fisherhaven. I have seen those beautiful creatures roaming there and have a few pictures of them. Those wild horses are truly beautiful and don't pose a threat to anyone

I signed because the sight of the horses roaming around freely give one a sense of peace with nature and it suits the environment. Those horses have been living there for decades and do not pose a threat to anyone, so I don't understand why now suddenly someone had a 'LIGHT BULB' moment and want to remove them. It always start with one person, in this case I think a miserable one with no appreciation to wild life. Live and let live, LEAVE THE HORSES BE!!!!

Because the herd is in extremely good condition, foals are born from time to time which is a sign of a content and happy herd and they are of no harm to residents and visitors alike. The horses are an attractive feature of Fisherhaven and can be regarded as being a established part of the community.

Always a joy to have the horses around. My grand children takes pleasure in watching them from a distance.

These horses chose to live there, don't cause anyone harm, are happy and friendly, and look healthy. Nobody has the right to decide they must leave! Nobody takes us from our homes!!!?!?!!!

Being free and wild is a privilege that should not just be for people but for ALL creatures, including the horses of Fisherhaven. Their presence here let's us know that we can ALL live together peacefully, and they are just as part of this area as we are.

South African government should concentrate on keeping residents in control. But instead they concentrate on things that aren't bothering anyone. Look what this country has turned into? And they worry about beautiful living creatures that aren't killing or shooting anyone, but bringing life to a little town. LEAVE THE HORSES ALONE!

because I live in Fisherhaven and the sight of the horses brings great pleasure to my family and the great number of visitors we have.I would endorse the siting of a cattle grid at the R43 junction. Has there been any serious consideration to this proposal?

When we visit my sister and husband in Fisherhaven we always look forward to seeing these magnificent animals. We say they should stay where they are
Guest#118 Mar 13, 2016, 12:08
Having the horses around is great. Learning to live in harmony with nature both floral and fauna enriches us all
Guest#119 Mar 13, 2016, 20:10
I think it is a disgrace that anyone could consider removing the horses from Fisherhaven where they appear to be in excellent health and create a really good feeling about Fisherhaven. Not only to residents but to the very many visitors.
Guest#120 Mar 14, 2016, 14:58
Because I think the horses should be left to roam in peace. They have not caused any harm to anyone and do not deserve to be moved from their place of safety and happiness.
Guest#121 Mar 15, 2016, 06:09
The are part of Fisherhaven - we love them
Guest#122 Mar 15, 2016, 06:14
We love the horses, they are our animal children. Please let them enjoy Fisherhaven like we do.
Guest#123 Mar 16, 2016, 20:40
I do like animals and the wild horses are so beautiful and peaceful in the neighbourhood. So free and wonderful to look and watch them. They are part of Fisherhaven, they were their first - why do any one want to get rid of them? Nature is haven. I can not think how Fisherhaven will be without the wild horses. It is part of the past and the future of Fisherhaven. Pleas leave them as wild free walking animals. Why would you destroy an inherited of such magnificent animals. It will be a shame on us.
Guest#124 Mar 26, 2016, 22:11
These horses must be left alone. Why must the municipality always interfere? Don't they make enough money out of us? Hands off these horses. Just protect them by law.
Guest#125 Mar 29, 2016, 14:06
The horses are part and parcel of Fisherhaven and should be left to roam free. They enhance the whole ambience of the township.
