Would like to know how many nations give 0.7% of GNP for foreign aid? No many. With our national debt as it is and all the damage by floods, national roads in very bad condition, the Government must divert aid money to work in this country. When it is possible to increase aid, that would b e fine

The floods near London have had a magic effect on getting action from all of our dumb MP's A pity they did not help Somerset weeks ago. I suppose there must be more votes in the London area!!! Look at the Wallies in the wellies out yesterday.

Charity belongs at home , how is it other countries are given so much of our money when the UK needs it so badly, not just for the floods but for people who struggle everyday.
Guest#60 Feb 12, 2014, 10:17

Lets face the fact that we are a not as wealthy as we were & too small a country to try & solve all the problems of the world. Sorting our own neccessitites should be paramount.

A very worthwhile use of the media.
Guest#72 Feb 12, 2014, 10:36
Money to stay in GB ; Not to be sent abroad. Flood victims to be given every support.
Guest#73 Feb 12, 2014, 10:38
It is time that our government looked after its own people instead earning kudos for our leaders with their generosity with our money
Guest#74 Feb 12, 2014, 10:40
Help our own country. Foreign aid is just about keeping fat cats on fantastic salaries and if they had done any good with the money spent there wouldn't be any starving kids or countries awash with arms.
Guest#75 Feb 12, 2014, 10:40
As no doubt as everyone states...charity begins at home
