Ironic that the people and businesses that are flooded are the same taxpayers that are paying for flood relief schemes overseas.

All money should be given to UK aid not overseas. This money is tax payers money for Britian only!!

Urgent assistance is needed for the people affected by the floods and in particular farmers. In a few months we will all be affected as food will go up as farmers will have lost so much.

Why not with hold money from the UN?? This organisation is toothless!!!

I thoroughly agree with this petition. We send billions of £s to various countrys which don't necessarily need it. Also extra aid is sent in extreme emergency situations - are any of those countries offering aid to our people who are losing homes, businesses etc.

Why send aid to a country with its own space programme.

It is time we gave a voice to the overseas contributions, the government must listen to the voice of the people, why should we struggle here and they send millions abroad, it does not make any sense..We are all feeling so sorry for the flood victims it is the main topic spoken about when ever a group get together.
It is time to make a change.

Charity should always always begin at home and especially not sent to foreign countries who very often use the money not for their own people. We need our badly failing infrustracture sorted out which has been in decline for decades as well as for flood relief

I beleive in oversea help only if we follow the money to see that it is spent on the right things and not waisted

This country should look after it's own before sending money abroad for example the homeles and victoms of floading etc you can only push people so far especially we tax payers,need I say anymore!!

WHY Send our money Abroad when its needed here

IT is a disgrace sending money to other countries. Charity begins at home, we should be helping everyone who is affected by the floods including households,business's and particular farmers who after all they do a marvellous job supplying us with the food to keep us all alive.

Charity has to begin @ home now!
