I am a Hindu who celebrates Deepavali and will tell anyone that fireworks are not necessary to celebrate Deepavali , Deepavali is the celebration of light over darkness and as such the burning of the simple clay lamps in Hindu homes has more significance than all the fireworks in the world .
Every year fireworks are becoming louder & louder and more powerful and our peaceful neighbourhoods sound exactly like a war zone. This is not Deepavali my friends, The people who like fireworks should be given a free trip to Syria & Aleppo to experience real fireworks. Fireworks should be banned in all residential areas as no one cares about the poor animals , little babies ,the environment or pollution.. .
