A dogs ears are FAR more sensitive than humans! The sound of crackers is totally devastating to them. This is such a cruel way of entertainment that affects our beloved pets terribly.

I object to the harm that fireworks cause to animals both domestic and wild and I cannot find any justification for fireworks when I see children injured and maimed. Fireworks infringe on our right to peace and rest.

Because I really don't see why we should traumetise sooo many animals for something that has no meaning except personal human pleasure. If its a religious thing shoot it outside of the residential area. Allocated. Areas. Then everybody is happy. RE the festival of light. I respect that. Why the loud bombers. Its not the festival of sound. Plssssss. My dog still hasn't fully recovered

They actually only allowed to let off between 11.45pm to 12.15am on New Years Eve - 30 minutes only!!

Because people are irresponsible and inconsiderate, children get hurt due to unsupervised fireworks, animals are traumatised, often also hurt, sleep deprivation due to noise and the list goes on. . . Fireworks is a pointless practise that has no positive attributes. No good can ever come from it, and I fail to see how it is considered entertaining, Although user instructions are very straight forward complete with diagrams, it's still not moron friendly. Ban it please. . .

I am an animal lover and see first hand how this traumatises animals. Secondly, I work at a Wildlife Rehabilitation centre and our wildlife were petrified of the fireworks which meant that our Clinic Nurses and Primate Manager were up most of the night checking on the various wildlife at the centre.

Fireworks are a waste of money. You are literally burning money. Rather go buy food and/or clothing and give this to the needy.

I really think that setting off fireworks in residential areas should be banned!!! When I lived in Malelane for 7 yrs, the fire department ear marked an area outside the town and invited the whole town to meet there and all the fireworks were set off there. It was controlled and did not affect anyone's pets in the town.
PLEASE BAN FIREWORKS AND SEE THAT IT IS IMPLEMENTED AND PEOPLE GET FINED!

People do not take animals in to consideration plus some people go out their way to hurt animals. Fire works should be band in all residential areas. Large finds should be unforced even for a small fireworks

Yellowwood Park has a nature reserve and an animal hospital. Fireworks in this area is irresponsible and cruel.
