There should be a proper balance between capital and labour. Labour cannot demand what the employer cannot afford to pay. If the demand is unrealistic then the employer has no choice for if it pays the unrealistic amount it goes insolvent and the mine closes or alternatively the mine is closed as a result of the strike. The employers will be forced to mecanise their operations which will result in hugh unemployment. Tell the union to provide employment for its members and lets see how many find employment. At the same time employers should not abuse their workers and see that they receive a living wage, commensurate with the income and expenses of the company and not allow unrealistic salaries and bonuses to be paid to management at the expense of general employees. Lets not create another Inkandla. Surely rational mathematics should show what a company can pay and not be bull dozed by a union official who has limited knowledge of acceptable businee principles.

Mooi so mense dit lyk my ons gaan so 6000 haal teen die naweek.

You people as Unions....get your salary every month....what about the people.....????!!!!....you don't care........!!!!....you've got a house.....food.....cars.....clothes.....and lots more.......you should be ashamed of yourselves....if the people don't want to work....give it to those that want to work...... :(

The leader of AMCU believes he is a Dictator as he lives in luxury whilst his members on strike suffer. The strikers are not the only people being exploted by this dictator it is all the community members in the affected areas whom are also suffering due to companies closing due to the affected force majours being issued.
a fellow worker#317 Apr 09, 2014, 17:59
no its all about saving face for AMCO now!Not about what the gross majority wants.
Guest#318 Apr 09, 2014, 18:28
While striking workers stay in compounds and are being fed their families are the ones who suffer, why would they go back to work - they do not feel anything for their families at home.
Guest#319 Apr 09, 2014, 18:40

The people that want to work don't get work those who have a job wants to strike there are many people who would work for a low salary then to have no income at all...every time the people on the mine wants to strike they put other mine workers lifes at risk so give the job to people who are willing to work then all can work at peace
Guest#324 Apr 09, 2014, 23:04
Stop this STRIKE! Innocent People suffer. They've got the right to work! And the country also suffer. Why?
Guest#325 Apr 09, 2014, 23:19
This strike is fueled by radicals that use people's emotions for their own monetary and political gain. They intimidate the community and workers through assault and murder.
In this case organized labour has become organized crime.
The only solution is to expose these criminals and remove them from society.
