The Public has been fooled long enough by an elite clique of senior doctors, administrators and government who seek to keep our health services optimised for their benefit!A brave new generation of Junior Doctors is making the first step towards addressing the dangers of how our health services are run because they care how your mother or father or family member is treated in contrast to those who have created an unsafe system of care. The current irish medical system is an antiquated feudal model so please don't underestimate the bravery required of the people you call the "junior Docs" to speak out in a system where speaking out is discouraged and penalised behind the scenes and, overall, please encourage them to take their rightful place as partners in our health care system.  This strike can only benefit the public in the long term.

The hours these people are asked to work are crazy,dangerous and irresponsible. It's been going on for years and the Department of Health now HSE have never attempted to address it. It's a scandal.

Some years ago a member of our family was injured by a large overdose given by a stressed doctor, long hours must make these mistakes more likely. Stressful for the doctor and lifetime handicap for the patient.

This should really be stopped, outrageous. When I was suffering from food poisoning I talked to doctors that were doing 72 shift! Like come on!
