My entire family are Lloyds customers and I have a business in the village. I am asked on a daily basis where the cash machine is? The horror on peoples faces when I say we don't have one is quite funny at times, they seem to think we are living in the dark ages! But this year telling them we have no Post Office and now to say we have no bank is highly worrying to say the least. I am seriously concerned what affect it will have on businesses, locals and the village as a whole.

I am a resident and Lloyds Bank customer. I am self employed and have seen services stripped from the village making it increasingly difficult to do business in the village

Because the village is being killed slowly - bit by bit, and once dead that will be it. Visitors will stop visiting and the people that live there will lose their jobs and very quickly no-one will want to live there and certainly not visit. Shameful - such a beautiful place

If you run a firm or small business that takes cash or needs cash where do you go ?? I would shut my account with Lloyds and move to another bank.

A bank is important to our Village businesses to pay money in and to get change. Our visitors also need a place to withdraw money, our Post Office is only part time now. We used yo have three banks in this Village if this one is closed we will have nothing.

Petitions to keep bank branches open have never, ever had any impact whatsoever. Please don't waste your time. If this saves a few minutes of people's lives my job is done. Deal with reality.

Well you won't stop it. You will find that most main banks will only have one branch in Cornwall within 3 years. That will be in Truro.

We need a bank in Mevagissey - we have already lost the post office and there is no justice in having to travel 6 miles just to pay in a cheque or get cash,. Not everyone uses cards for payment!

You can get cash from supermarkets and cash back from many stores in Mevagissey - at no cost -  they are pleased to get rid of the cash. Paying in a cheque - post it .

get a grip!
